H.S. Results for 2/14: Lyons hits milestone for Southeastern

Andrew Lyons crossed over the 1,000 career point mark in helping Southeastern defeat Xenia Legacy Christian 66-52 in boys basketball on Tuesday.

Trevor King led Southeastern, which improved to 20-1, with 23 points. Lyons finished with 17.

Josh Frueh had 19 points for Xenia Legacy Christian.

Boys Basketball

Piqua 64, Greenville 56: Nate Monnin recorded 18 points to lead five players in double-digit scoring for Piqua in the upset. Devin Hendrix and Aaron Rich each had 12 points for Greenville.

Vandalia 53, Sidney 47: Miles Joiner poured in 27 points, including an 11 for 11 mark from the foul line, to lead Vandalia. Andre Gordon had 21 points for Sidney.

Miamisburg 63, Fairborn 56: Lathan Hartman had 19 points and Kort Justice and Kyle Fox each added 11 for Miamisburg. Brandon Easterling tallied 18 points for Fairborn.

Centerville 63, Beavercreek 38: Adam Velasco scored 11 points and Sam Lash 10 to lead a balanced attack from Centerville.

Troy 51, Tippecanoe 41: Zach Reichelderfer paced Troy with 16 points. Zach Bonifas had 14 for Tippecanoe.

Hamilton 60, Colerain 56: Dan Brunck put up 20 points and D’Marco Howard 13 to help Hamilton hold off a Colerain rally.

Lakota East 41, Middletown 33: Jarett Cox and Jackson See each had 10 points for East. Jomar Bailey led Middletown with 12 points.

LaSalle 58, Chaminade Julienne 43: Christian Montague became the sixth CJ player to reach the 1,000 career point milestone.

Alter 74, CHCA 34: Dominic Laravie poured in 27 points for Alter in the rout.

Carlisle 69, Twin Valley South 61: Justin Flor carried Carlisle with 19 points and Adam Goodpaster added 18. Willie Bowman led TVS with 17 points.

Graham 79, Mechanicsburg 51: Andrew Ford poured in 27 points, including six three-point baskets, to lead Graham.

Stivers 70, Catholic Central 61: Tony Boddie scored 25 points, Trevon Ellis 12 points with 10 assists and Miles Clark 10 points to lead Stivers.

Tri-Village 69, Greeneview 36: Gavin Richards became the seventh player in Tri-Village history to surpass the 1,000 career point mark.

Dayton Christian 91, Miami Valley 43: Matt Welker scored 19 points, Anton Webb 15 and Jake Erlandson 14 to lead DC.

Middletown Christian 50, Emmanuel Christian 41: Jarod Hamlin had 23 points with eight rebounds and Cameron Russell tacked on 12 points with six assists for MC. Adonis Davis paced EC with 12 points.

Covington 51, New Bremen 41: Trevor Miller had 14 points and Jayce Pond and Kenny Atkinson tacked on 11 apiece for Covington.

Girls Basketball

Newton 59, Tri-County North 40: After scoring 23 points Tatum McBride sits 10 points shy of becoming Newton’s all-time leading scorer.

Marion Local 59, Fort Loramie 52: Abby Holthaus recorded 15 points with six boards but Fort Loramie fell prey to a fourth quarter rally from Marion Local.

Fort Recovery 64, Celina 9: Whitney Will scored 20 points and Jocelyn Kaiser 13 for FR in the rout.

Jackson Center 50, Riverside 30: Cassie Meyer paced Jackson Center with 19 points.
