In case you’ve been without social media for the last few days, Lochte is the U.S. swimmer who assured no one will ever remember what medals he won in the Rio Olympics by making up a story about getting robbed a few days ago.
The part about it being made-up is only just emerging, but it will end up being one of the bigger stories of the Games in all likelihood.
Teammate Michael Phelps, the triumphant U.S. gymnasts and all the other athletes who achieved great things without causing an interntional incident must be thrilled.
