Reds sign first-round pick Austin Hendrick

The Cincinnati Reds announced the signing of first-round pick Austin Hendrick on Friday.

According to a MLB.com report, Hendrick signed for $4 million, just under the slot value of $4,366,400.

The Reds selected Hendrick with the 12th overall pick earlier this month. He's an outfielder from West Allegheny High School in Imperial, Pa.

Earlier this week, the Reds announced the signing of 10 undrafted free agents: outfielder Alex McGarry; shortstop Gus Steiger; right-handed pitchers Brett Lockwood Tyler Keysor, Steve Branche, Leo Nierenberg, James Proctor, Braxton Roxby and Carson Spiers and second baseman Francisco Urbaez.
