Manager David Bell held his first press conference in months Thursday morning, speaking to reporters via a Zoom video call from Great American Ball Park.

“There’s a lot of anxiety,” Bell said, “and just walking out on the field and being around a few of the players who are here today, it felt a lot better. We’re ready to go. A lot to think about. Just like everybody else, it’s like nothing we’ve been through before, but I do believe we’re going to be great in every aspect of it. There’s been a ton of planning that has gone on throughout the organization. We try to be ahead of everything. No doubt we’ll be surprised and have to respond, but we’re in as good a place as we can possibly be right now.”
