Burfict passes physical, expected to practice

Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict passed his physical Monday and is expected to make his training camp debut at practice this afternoon.

The Bengals placed Burfict on the Active/Non-Football Injury list ahead of the start of training camp July 26.

Burfict will serve a four-game suspension for violating the league’s policy on performance-enhancing substances when the regular season begins, but he is eligible to participate in all practices and preseason games before the suspension kicks in Sept. 3.
