Kil-Kare Speedway’s track champions will be decided tonight on the 3/8th-mile track, featuring a late model points battle between Germantown’s Justin Alsip and Dayton’s Donnie Mahaffey Jr. The drivers have gone door to door all season in the standings and enter tied with 1,046 points each. Alsip has six wins in 16 starts and Mahaffey has four wins in as many starts.

In the other divisions, Jack Jones has an insurmountable lead in the modifieds with 10 wins in 16 starts. Jamie Sites holds a 39-point lead in the sport stocks built on seven wins in 18 starts. In the compacts, Paul Holley leads Dewayne Snyder Jr. — both with four wins — by 41 points.

On Sunday at Kil-Kare, the track hosts the ARCA/CRA Super Series late models for its inaugural visit. Former track champion Travis Braden of West Virginia enters as the series leader. He pilots the car owned by Miamisburg’s Gary Estes, who is also entered to drive Sunday. Beavercreek’s Brandon Oakley runs second in the rookie standings, 46 points behind Ali Kerns.

Other area drivers expected to compete are Mike Stacy, Kyle Jones, Chad Pendleton, Josh Cahill, Bobby Justice and Cody Robinson.

Practice for the D&D Harley Davidson/Oakley Blacktop 125 starts at 1 p.m., qualifying is at 3 p.m. and racing at 4 p.m. Kil-Kare’s sport stocks and compacts are also in action.
