Hue’s way or the highway? Browns trade punter Lee to Panthers

The Browns will have a new punter this season.

The club traded Andy Lee to the Panthers for Kasey Redfern, who conveniently enough is also a punter.

The teams also exchanged draft picks, but the bigger story could be what earned Lee (a three-time Pro Bowler) a ticket out of town.

ProFootballTalk.com speculates it was a play in Friday night's preseason loss to the Buccaneers in which Lee did not seem to make much effort to stop Tampa Bay punt returner Adam Humphries from scoring despite appearing to have an angle on him.

That earned the scorn of first-year Browns head coach Hue Jackson, and perhaps an opportunity to play for one of the best teams in the league instead of one of the worst.
