Tecumseh Boys Golf wins second tournament in three days

Tecumseh High School’s Casey Stafford and Cam Wardley both fired 72’s as the Arrows won the Panther Invitational at Darby Creek on Wednesday.

Brandon Pursifull and Patrick Snarr both carded 83 as Tecumseh finished with a score of 309. The Arrows also won the Homan Invitational at Piqua C.C. on Monday with a score 315.

Cedarville’s Jordan Reese was medalist tying his second-best career score of 69. The highlight to Reese’s round was a 25-foot eagle putt on a par 5 hole on the back nine.

Shawnee’s Evan Lyons was fourth with a 73 as the Braves placed second (314).

Girls Tennis

Springfield improved to 3-0 by defeating Northwestern 4-1. The Wildcats Nicole Pavlatos got past Chelsie Brandyberry 7-5, 6-2 in first singles as the Warriors fall in their season opener.
