Carroll outscored Bellbrook 11-0 in the second quarter to lead 19-18 at halftime and pulled ahead in the second half.
Leisha Crawford, a senior guard, scored 13 points to lead Bellbrook. She and Austria, a University of Dayton signee, were the only players who scored in double figures.
Carroll (18-1) rebounded from its first loss, which came 63-48 against visiting Detroit Country Day on Saturday. The Patriots, who are 9-0 in the Girls’ Greater Cincinnati League Grey North Division, will close the regular season by visiting division rival Chaminade Julienne (16-2, 8-1) on Wednesday. The Patriots can win the division title outright with a victory.
Bellbrook (16-3) already has clinched a Southwestern Buckeye League Southwestern Division title at 12-0. The Golden Eagles had won 10 straight since consecutive losses in December in the Braggin’ Rights Classic in Mason, which came against schools from New York and Florida.
Carroll and Bellbrook are both in Division II, but the earliest they could meet in the postseason is a D-II regional final. Carroll is a No. 1 seed, and Bellbrook is a No. 2 seed, and both begin games next week in the sectional tournament.
Thurgood Marshall 45, Stivers 34: Marshall improved to 18-1 behind 13 points from Kendra Moss and 10 from J'Wanna Thornton. The Cougars led 11-1 after the first quarter before Stivers (10-9) played to a 34-33 disadvantage for the remainder.
Franklin 55, Northridge 54: Sydney Lovelace led Franklin (5-14) with 16 points as the Wildcats led 27-24 at halftime. Marissa Reynolds led all scorers with 19 points for Northridge (9-10).
Meadowdale 46, Dunbar 42: Freshman guard Ja'la Henderson scored 23 points for Meadowdale (10-8), which used a 20-10 scoring advantage in the third quarter to take control against Dunbar (6-11).
Lebanon 46, Fairfield 44: Sophomore Sam Showalter scored a season-high 18 points to pace Lebanon (9-10), which won its third straight. Leah Perry added 10 points for the Warriors.
Milton-Union 46, Newton 33: Katelyn Vincent led all scorers with 22 points for the winning Bulldogs (9-10), who also got 11 points from Danielle Vincent.
