Quisenberry sets record in Arrows’ victory

NEW CARLISLE — Tecumseh High School sophomore Bianca Quisenberry set a school record for points in a game to help the host Arrows win their Central Buckeye Conference Kenton Trail Division girls basketball opener over Stebbins, 72-36 on Saturday.

Quisenberry had 16 field goals, three 3-pointers and made eight free throws to finish with 43 points, breaking the old record of 37. Quisenberry also had 10 rebounds and seven steals.

Northeastern 48, Cedarville 44: Katelyn McDaniel scored 12 points and Jessica Rebert added 10 for Northeastern. Emily Sheridan led the Indians with 11 points.

Urbana 73, Benjamin Logan 42: LeAnn Harrigan scored a game-high 18 points. Kaley Moss had 15 points and eight assists. Tamara Crochran had 12 rebounds and Kelsey Helms had 11.

West Liberty-Salem 60, Southeastern 52: Becka Peterson scored 20 points and added nine rebounds, and Maria Daulton scored 10 for the Tigers. Jenna Erwin scored a game-high 25 and Hannah Bowman scored 12 for the Trojans.

Catholic Central 62, Mechanicsburg 53: The Fighting Irish shot 45 free throws, and made 23. Kacie Whalen and Allison Woods each scored 17 points.

Brooke Dodane scored 17 points for the Indians.

Northwestern 45, Indian Lake 39: Becca Bruner scored 12 of her season-high 27 points in the fourth quarter to spark a 20-10 run for the Warriors. Bruner pulled down 14 rebounds.

Kenton Ridge 75, Shawnee 48: Mariah Harris registered a triple-double (13 points, 10 rebounds, 11 assists) for the Cougars.

Lindsey Fenwick had a game-high 20 points and Brooke Purvis added 14 for Kenton Ridge.

Carly Gregory scored 11 points for the Braves.

Graham 63, Greenon 37: Darbie and Darcie Zirkle both scored 18 points and Tori Purk added 15 points and 12 rebounds for Graham. Whitney Robinson led Greenon with 13 points.

Triad 57, Greeneview 56: Kelsey Funderburgh had 16 points, Hannah Smith added 15 and Faith Orecchio 12 for Triad.

Ashton Lovely scored a game-high 24 points and Bri Lovely added 18 for Greeneview.

Boys basketball

Dayton Christian 79, Emmanuel Christian 60: Jason Reep scored a team-high 17 points, Jared Klawer scored 11 and Adam Stumpf scored 10 for the Lions.

Butler 53, Tecumseh 51: Taylor Decker hit two free throws with 3 seconds left in regulation to hand the Arrows the loss. Chase Culbertson scored 13 points.
