Prep roundup: Quisenberry powers Arrows

SPRINGFIELD - Tecumseh High School junior Bianca Quisenberry had a game-high 29 points as the Arrows beat Urbana 77-74 in girls basketball action on Wednesday night.

The Arrows (2-1) trailed by as many as 10 in the third quarter, but fought back to take the lead with four minutes remaining. They went 10-for-11 from the free-throw line in the fourth to ice the game.

Chelsey Davis added 16 points for the Arrows, while Megan Christmann had 14 points and Brittany Frappier chipped in with 12.

Urbana’s Kaley Moss had a team-high 20 points for the Hillclimbers (2-1), who dropped their first game of the season. Katelynn Derr had 18 points, while Trischa Lacy and Christy Finney each had 11 and Braxton Rogan added 10.

Greenon 44, Bellefontaine 32: The Knights jumped out to a 17-6 first quarter lead and never looked back.

Whitney Robinson had 12 points for the Knights, who improved to 2-0.

Graham 50, Stebbins 44: The Falcons outscored the Indians 20-6 in the final quarter to pull out a come-from-behind victory.

Taylor Dyke had 26 points for the Falcons (2-1), while Lindsay Black added 14.

Kenton Ridge 86, Northwestern 33: The Cougars had four players in double figures as they improved to 3-0.

Mariah Harris had a game-high 24 points for the Cougars, while Paige McCrary had 17, Samantha Wiederkehr had 13 and Stefanie Davis added 10.

Kelsey Crooks had 11 points for Northwestern (1-4).

Indian Lake 49, Shawnee 45: Braves freshman Morgan Spitzer had 19 points, 6 rebounds and 5 steals in her debut for Shawnee (0-1).

Carly Gregory added 14 points and nine rebounds for the Braves, who trailed 29-21 at the half, but couldn’t take the lead.

Fairmont 72, Springfield 30: Ashley Tunstall had nine points as the Wildcats fell in their season debut.

Wrestling: Urbana’s Donnie Scott went 2-0 at 170 pounds, winning by pin and technical fall at a tri-meet at Greenon. The Hillclimbers beat Tecumseh 35-27, but fell to Greenon 36-27.

Bowling: Kyle Beers (246-470) and Mitch Boisel (224-443) each shot 400 series as the Kenton Ridge boys beat Northwestern 2,799-2,393 in a matchup of two top area teams.
