Prep roundup: Kenton Ridge boys top Shawnee

SPRINGFIELD — Mohammad Salhieh scored both goals for the Kenton Ridge High School soccer team in a 2-1 win at Shawnee High School in a Central Buckeye Conference Kenton Trail Division boys soccer match on Wednesday, Oct. 14.

Salhieh has scored 33 goals so far this season for the Cougars (8-6-1, 6-4 CBC).

Conner McDonough scored for the Braves (5-9, 3-8 CBC).

• Jerron Bennington scored three goals, and John Klarer and Brandon Keaton both added a goal and an assist as Greenon beat Indian Lake 7-3.

The Knights (10-4-1) finished their CBC Mad River Division title with a 9-1-1 record.

• Jadon Jenkins and Brandon West scored goals and Nick Sullivan registered his fifth shutout of the season as Northwestern beat Urbana 2-0.

The Warriors ended the regular season 9-6 and second in CBC Mad River Division (7-4).

Girls soccer

Chloe West had two goals and an assist to send Northwestern past Urbana 4-0.

Jaclyn Demeter and Jo Byrum also scored goals for the Warriors (9-5-2), who finished first in the CBC Mad River Division (7-2-2).

• Alyson Meister scored for Shawnee and Brooke Sizemore scored for Kenton Ridge in a 1-1 tie.

The Cougars (9-2-4 ) finished third in the CBC Kenton Trail Division (6-1-4). The Braves (9-3-2) finished 5-3-2, also in the Kenton Trail.

• Katie Nickels had a goal and an assist and Katie Collins and Amanda Boling also scored goals as Greenon blanked Indian Lake 3-0.

The Knights (7-7-1) placed third in the CBC Mad River Division with a 6-5 record.

• Hannah Rutledge scored twice in the second half and Maggie Grieser had three saves for her fourth shutout this season as Graham beat Benjamin Logan 2-0.

The Falcons (8-5-3) ended the regular season 5-3-3 in the CBC Mad River Division.

• Allison Moon scored four goals and Sophia Maddelena scored three goals as Catholic Central beat Triad 12-0. The Irish (10-5) finished second in the Ohio Heritage Conference (7-3).
