Big fourth quarter lifts Indians

Mechanicsburg High School’s fourth-quarter run led to a 57-36 win over West Liberty-Salem in girls basketball Saturday.

West Liberty trailed 30-18 at halftime but climbed within seven in the third quarter. The Indians out-scored the Tigers 18-6 in the fourth.

Brooke Dodane scored 20 points to lead Mechanicsburg. She was 4-of-6 from 3-point range. Jamie Dodane had 11 points, nine assists, seven rebounds and seven steals.

Maria Daulton led West Liberty with 10. Kaylin Frederick scored seven. The Tigers shot 3-of-19 from 3-point range.

Greeneview 48, Southeastern 33: Alex Rice led Greeneview with 16 points, six rebounds. Greeneview made seven 3-pointers.

Boys basketball

Greeneview 67, Greenon 53: Greeneview rolled to a 21-10 lead at the end of the first quarter.

Evan Bradds led Greeneview with 25, Tyler Bruntz scored 21. As a team, Greeneview made eight 3-pointers.

Anthony Colletti led Greenon with 25. Chase Green scored 12.

Tecumseh 42, Vandalia 35: Tecumseh led by one with a minute left but closed the fourth quarter with good foul shooting. The Arrows shot 10-of-12 from the line for the game.

Gabe Berner led Tecumseh with 20. He shot 9-of-10 from the foul line.

Wrestling

Walsh Ironman Inv.: Graham placed third with 133 points at the invitational hosted by Walsh Jesuit High School.

Bo Jordan took first in the 160-pound event. Jordan is a three-time Ironman champion. He had the most takedowns for the tournament.
