Williams figures to be taking calls from other MLB teams over the next couple weeks, as there have already been reports that closer Rasiel Iglesias could become trade bait, and some are speculating that the team might consider trading All-Star shortstop Zack Cozart while his value is high because he’s going to become a free agent after the season, likely commanding a sizable contract.
For this correspondent’s two cents, the team should not trade either player -- unless somebody offers a ton of talent -- preferably in the form of injury-proof starting pitchers -- in return. Injury-proof pitchers do exist, right? Somewhere?
