Football recruiting: Springfield’s Isaiah Gibson releases updated finalists list

SEC or Big Ten?

That is the question Springfield’s Isaiah Gibson asked when posting a list of the seven schools the senior is considering.

The three-star defensive tackle prospect, who plans to commit Sept. 19, set a final five of Michigan State, Minnesota, Purdue, Wisconsin and Kentucky in July but has since added offers from Florida and Georgia.

He is the No. 25 prospect in the state and No. 42 defensive tackle prospect in the country according to 247Sports Composite rankings

Gibson had 22 tackles, two sacks, two fumble recoveries and forced two fumbles last season for the Wildcats.

Teammate Moses Douglass (Kentucky) is among the are players who have verbally committed from the class of 2019, while former teammate Danny Davis is a sophomore receiver at Wisconsin.

Wildcats RaHeim Moss and Michael Brown-Stephens are also three-star prospects in the state’s top 100.
