Miami Airlines flew the Dayton Flyers to the Charleston Classic — an appropriate choice considering this was the first charter flight with the team for new UD coach Anthony Grant, a Miami native.
Dayton flew to South Carolina after practice on Tuesday and posted photos of their plane to Twitter.

The Flyers play Hofstra at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at TD Bank Arena. This will be a homecoming of sorts for freshman guard Jordan Davis, who’s from Irmo, S.C., two hours from Charleston. He’s the first South Carolina native to play for the Flyers.
Sophomore guard Trey Landers said Davis hadn’t talked much about going home for these games.
“He doesn’t say much,” Landers said. “We call him the silent assassin, but anyone would be excited to go home and play in front of their family.”
