Dayton Flyers recruiting: West Virginia prospect receives UD offer

Obina Anochili-Killen, a 6-foot-8 forward in the 2020 recruiting class, announced Thursday he received a scholarship offer from the Dayton Flyers.

Anochili-Killen attends Chapmanville High School in West Virginia. According to the Herald-Dispatch in Huntington, W.Va., he has offers from Marshall, Akron, East Tennessee State, Evansville, George Mason, George Washington, Ohio, Old Dominion, Penn State, Rhode Island, Temple, South Florida and Virginia Commonwealth.

Anochili-Killen, who’s from Lagos, Nigeria, is a three-star recruit, according to 247Sports.com, and ranks 258th in the 2020 class. He plays for All-Ohio Red on the Nike Elite Youth Basketball circuit.

Dayton has one commitment from the 2020 class. Lukas Frazier, a 6-foot-4 guard from Lake Catholic High School in Mentor, announced his verbal commitment in June.

Dayton has two scholarships open in 2019 and two opening in 2020, one of which Frazier will fill.
