Former WSU assistant hired at Xavier

CINCINNATI — Kareem Richardson, an assistant basketball coach at Wright State during the 2002-03 season, has been hired by Xavier coach Chris Mack to fill the vacancy created when associate head coach Pat Kelsey left.

Richardson, who also has assisted Drake, Missouri-Kansas City, Evansville, Indiana State and Indianapolis, was ranked the 20th best mid-major assistant coach in the country by collegeinsider.com, in part because of his ties to the Chicago recruiting scene.
