Officials at WSU semifinal in Indianapolis test positive for coronavirus

An official at the Wright State University men’s basketball semifinal game earlier this month in Indianapolis has tested positive for the coronavirus.

The Horizon League and Collegiate Officiating Consortium said two officials tested positive for COVID-19, with one or both of them officiating four games, according to an announcement on its website.

Wright State played March 9 at Indiana Farmers Coliseum against the University of Illinois at Chicago. WSU, which won its first league season championship, lost 76-53.

Horizon League staff members have communicated with league members, related game personnel, volunteers and the coliseum. The league also said it is following guidance from the CDC and state governments.
