Cincinnati Bengals make pair of roster moves

The Bengals today made expected roster moves with tight end Tyler Eifert and linebacker Vontaze Burfict.

The team placed Eifert on injured reserve and added Burfict to the 53-man roster.

Eifert, who is in his sixth season, suffered a broken ankle in last week’s 37-36 win at Atlanta.

Burfict, a seven-year veteran, returned to the team this week on a roster exemption after serving a four-game suspension to start the season for violating the NFL’s policy on performance-enhancing drugs. He is expected to play Sunday vs. Miami at Paul Brown Stadium.
