Collin Brown threw touchdown passes to four different players as the Wittenberg Tigers beat Kenyon 38-14 on Saturday night at Edwards-Maurer Field.

Brown, who returned to action the previous week in a 44-27 victory at Oberlin after battling an injury earlier in the season, completed 18 of 28 passes for 310 yards. He doubled his season total of touchdown passes and now has eight in four games.

Brown threw a 12-yard touchdown pass to Jake Saus and a 16-yard to Gene Nobles in the second quarter. Wittenberg built a 17-7 halftime lead.

In the third quarter, Brown connected with Troy Teepe on a 3-yard touchdown pass and with Sam Kayser on a 45-yard touchdown pass. In between, Bryce Anderson, who rushed 16 times for 88 yards, scored on a 3-yard run.

Nobles led the receivers with six catches for 156 yards. Kayser caught seven passes for 96 yards.

Mike Knock led the defense with 2½ sacks. Michael Fiessinger recorded his first interception of the season.

Wittenberg (4-3, 4-2) won its second straight game. It’s tied for fourth place in the North Coast Athletic Conference with Wabash (5-2, 4-2). Keny

DePauw (6-1, 6-0) stands alone in first place, one game ahead of Denison (5-2, 5-1).

Seventh-place Kenyon (2-5, 2-4) has lost 28 straight games to Wittenberg. It’s last victory in the series came in 1914. The teams tied in 1921.

Wittenberg returns to action at 1 p.m. Saturday at Allegheny (2-5, 1-5).
