1. Filling a need: Cleveland's most productive wide receiver last season, Beckham's former LSU teammate Jarvis Landry, ranked 19th in the league with 81 receptions. The addition of Beckham gives second-year quarterback Baker Mayfield another threat in the passing game. Cleveland ranked 14th out of 32 teams with 250.4 yards per game last season.
According the NFL Research account on Twitter, the Browns have never had a player compile 1,300 receiving yards and catch 10 touchdown passes in a season, and Beckham has done that three times in his first five seasons.
2. His reaction: The trade was expected to become official Wednesday. Beckham gave his first thoughts to the NFL Network, saying it was "bittersweet, but it is what it is. At this point, I have no idea what to think. I'm trying to process it right now."
3. Legitimate star: Beckham has caught 390 passes for 5,476 yards in his career. He topped 1,000 yards receiving in every season but 2017, which was cut short by injury. Last season, he caught 77 passes for 1,052 yards, missing the last four games with a quad injury.
4. In his prime: Beckham will turn 27 in November. He was the 12th overall pick in 2014 and was named the Offensive Rookie of the Year by the Associated Press after catching 91 passes for 1,305 yards with 12 touchdowns.
5. Memorable play: Beckham made one of the greatest catches in NFL history as a rookie. The one-handed, over-the-shoulder catch on Sunday Night Football caused analyst Chris Collinsworth to say on the broadcast, "That is absolutely impossible what he just did. That may be the greatest catch I've ever seen in my life."
