Reds to open season against Phillies

The Cincinnati Reds will open the 2016 season at home on Monday, April 4 against the Philadelphia Phillies.

Major League Baseball released the season schedule on Monday.

The MLB season will open on April 3 with teams to be announced.

In interleague play, the Reds will host Cleveland for two games and Seattle and Oakland for three game series. The Reds will travel to Cleveland for two games and Texas (two games) and Houston (three games).
