The Cincinnati Reds’ social media team showed a sense of humor Thursday night, focusing on the positive in the Reds’ being no-hit by Chicago Cubs ace Jake Arrieta and losing 16-0 at Great American Ball Park.
“RECAP: #Reds draw four walks vs. Cubs,” they wrote on Twitter.
The Los Angeles Dodgers, Arrieta’s other no-hit victim last August, also poked fun at themselves on Twitter, writing, “Hey @Reds, Arrieta no-hitter support group meets on Mondays.”
Those were just a few of the top tweets associated with the first no-hitter against the Reds in the regular season since 1971.
