Background/Overview: The Grill and Tavern structure originated as the Heart of Home Furniture Store in the late 1990s. Ross Buchner is a member of the Bruce family that owned the business. He's a Northeastern High School graduate who initiated the family's next formations for the wide - ranging property, The Springfield House Event Facility — plus Eastwood American Grill and Tavern.

Eastwood was so named due to its location in the eastern corridor of Springfield near wooded areas. It opened in November 2013 as a restaurant presenting classic American comfort food for lunch and dinner with a full - scale bar that has three large - screen televisions. Eastwood American Grill and Tavern lives by a motto that reads, “Locally Owned, Locally Grown!”

“We are great people providing exceptional service and fresh food,” Buchner said.
