Ice cream chain adds some ‘strange things’ to its menu

It’s the Netflix hit of the summer, and it’s coming to your freezer.

Baskin-Robins Ice Cream Shops, including the Dayton-area location at 27 N. Springboro Pike, have collaborated with “Scoops Ahoy Ice Cream Parlor,” the fictitious ice cream shop in the “Stranger Things” series.

A new line of flavors inspired by the show will be available through the end of July, according to a source at the Springboro Pike Baskin-Robbins.

“Cool off like it’s 1985 with signature treats from the Starcourt Mall,” according to the Baskin-Robbins’s website. There are exclusive collectible ice cream quarts, cakes, cookie cakes and more on the new menu. Visit baskinrobbins.com to see all the not-so-strange things on the new menu.

Netflix made critics promise not to reveal a laundry list of spoilers — so long that just about the only thing we can safely reveal is that, yes, - "Stranger Things"? is indeed still set in fictional Hawkins. (Netflix/TNS)

The “U.S.S. Butterscotch” flavor is the star of the Stranger Things lineup, with butterscotch ice cream, butterscotch pieces and a toffee flavored ribbon. “It’s Steve’s favorite.”

The limited-time flavor is also available as a sundae and a pre-packed quart.

“Elevenade Freeze” is a refreshing frozen treat a part of the special menu.

Scared of a nose bleed? More like a brain freeze. Cool down with a frozen beverage made with vanilla ice cream and Minute-Maid Lemonade.
