#DaytonStrong has its own cookie.
Busken Bakery is selling #DaytonStrong cookies at all eight of its Greater Cincinnati locations to benefit the Dayton Foundation’s Greater Dayton Disaster Relief Fund.
The limited-edition, 5-inch iced sugar cookie includes a picture of Dayton on a map of Ohio. It is ringed in blue and red sprinkles and sells for $2.95.
“Cookies for the Community is a program developed to raise funds and build awareness of our neighbors in need. Selling cookies for Dayton aligned perfectly with our mission, and we are happy to help in this small way. We thank our customers for purchasing the cookies and making the world a little sweeter,” Kathy Birkofer, Busken’s director of business to business, wrote in an email to this news organization.
The National Weather service says 15 tornadoes hit the Dayton area on Memorial Day ranging in strength from EF0 to EF4.
