SPEARS, Barbara Ann

Of Georgetown, Texas, passed away November 12, 2021, after a long and courageous battle with COPD. She was born April 20, 1946, in Huntington, West Virginia, and was the third child of Eleanor and Harry McMillan. In 1982 she graduated as a Registered Nurse from Kettering College of Medical Arts and served patients for thirty years. She had many hobbies, including decorating and antiquing and spent many years enjoying retirement with the love of her life, James (Jim) Spears. Besides nursing, her

professional accomplishments included a private pilot's

license, and being the owner of several businesses. Barbara was a resident of Centerville, Ohio, Boca Raton, Florida, and Springboro, Ohio, prior to settling in Georgetown.

Barbara is survived by her daughters, Cheryl Blatz (Lee) and Robin Eissler (Trevor); son, John Walker (Shannon); stepdaughter, Gigi Kite (Spears); stepsons, Sean Spears, Tim Spears and Chris Spears; brothers, Jack McMillan, Kevin McMillan and Rick McMillan; sister, Diana Pinkerman; and second husband, Don Richards. She is also survived by grandchildren, Dustin,

Melissa, Jennifer, Oliver, Ellie and Evan; and dozens of step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Spears; her parents; and eight siblings.

A graveside service is planned for Saturday, November 20, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, Indianapolis, Indiana.
