Today's the last day to register to vote in May 4 election

Today, Monday, April 5, is the deadline to register to vote in the May 4 election.

The May 4 ballot includes competitive primary races for the U.S. Senate (Democrat) and statewide Republican primaries for auditor and secretary of state. There are also two statewide issues on the ballot. Several schools are also seeking levies including Kettering, Miamisburg, Troy, Trotwood, Northmont, Brookville, Yellow Springs and West Carrollton

You are qualified to vote if you meet these requirements:

• You are a citizen of the United States.

• You will be at least 18 years old on or before Nov. 4.

• You will have been a resident of Ohio for at least 30 days before the election.

Early voting started last week at local Boards of Elections and absentee ballots are available. The deadline for requesting an absentee ballot is noon May 1. Requests may be made in person or by writing to your county Board of Elections listed below.
