If you want to buy Ohio-made products, try the prison system

Need 96 rolls of toilet paper for just $48.96? How about a 3-foot by 5-foot American flag for $34?

Or maybe you’re in the market for four gallons of foaming body wash for $39?

Although the state Department of Rehabilitation and Correction doesn’t actively market prisoner-made products to the public, you can order anything from office chairs to high security iron bunk beds to dishwasher detergent.

Need a new outfit? The Ohio Penal Industries Web site is your place for tube socks, navy blue pants with a prison orange stripe, and blue twill jackets. Jumpsuits are also available.

Moving into a new office? OPI sells coat racks, desks, filing cabinets and three-ring binders. And once you’re settled, OPI can handle your printing needs.
