Wittenberg University in Springfield is temporarily restricting some university-sponsored travel to prevent the possible spread of COVID-19, or novel coronavirus, according to the university’s website.

The university travel will be restricted to all of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Level 3 countries, which include China, Italy, Iran and South Korea.

The university is also discouraging travel to the CDC’s Level 2 countries, according to Wittenberg’s website, which for now just includes Japan.
