Windseeker latest Kings Island toy

MASON — Kings Island is at it again.

The amusement park continues work on its latest ride for thrill junkies — the Windseeker. After completion, the 301-foot tall, $5 million ride will spin riders 30 stories in the air, with their feet dangling, according to Kings Island.

Riders will slowly begin rotating in a circular motion as the swing ascends the tower.

At the top, riders will reach speeds up to 30 mph and the ride is expected to accommodate 64 riders per cycle. The expected completion date is set for spring 2011 next to the Vortex.

There is a height requirement of 48 inches for the ride with an estimated ride time of 3 minutes.
