Beavercreek resident Cory D.D. Miller knows firsthand how tricky it is to get rid of a "Joey Vottooooooooooooo" earworm.
He captured video of first baseman Joey Votto’s biggest fan during the Reds’ April 19 matchup against the Rockies at Great American Ballpark.
An unidentified woman calls “Joey Vottoooooooooooooooo,” every single time the first basemen goes up to bat.
“She said it at least 50 times,” said Miller, a graduate of Carroll High School and the University of Dayton.
Votto's superfan was not a one-trick pony, though.
The woman switched it up, shouting “Joseph Daniel Vottooooooooo” at least once.
“She did not seem drunk,” Miller told us. “She was just an avid sports fan.”
Nearby fans didn’t seem bothered beyond belief.
One person took a quick video of the woman, and a group of about 30 took a selfie with her.
“She was very nice,” said Miller, who was at the game with a friend. “It looked like a normal occurrence for her.”
Miller’s YouTube video has received nearly 30,000 views since he posted it on Wednesday.
It has been featured on Deadspin.com, and Miller says Sports Illustrated has expressed interest.
Joey Vottoooooooooooooooooooooooooo, someone loves you.
