Vehicle left on its top in Springfield wreck

One person suffered minor injuries Friday in a three-vehicle accident at Wittenberg Avenue and West Pleasant Street that sent one of the vehicles rolling on its side and into a parked car, police said.

A woman driving a silver Ford car south on Wittenberg Avenue ran a red light and hit the rear of a red SUV headed west on Pleasant Street at about 6 p.m., police Sgt. Jeff Williams said.

The SUV flipped on its side and rolled down the street and into a parked car.

The man driving the SUV was taken to Springfield Regional Medical Center. No one in the Ford was injured. The investigation into the accident is continuing, police said.
