High Street Church of the Nazarene will hold VBS with the theme “Carnival of Heroes.” Registration begins June 9. Jubilee Gang will be held at 6 p.m. June 10 and 10 a.m. June 12. The Carnival will be from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. June 11. Call (937) 323-9686.

June 12-16

6 to 8:30 p.m.: High Street United Methodist Church, 230 E. High St., will hold VBS with the theme “Son Surf, A Beach Bash. Explore: The Sea, The Sand, and The Son!” The free event is for children ages three through fifth grade. Call (937) 322-2527.

9 to 11:30 a.m.: Plattsburg United Church of Christ will hold VBS with the theme “Island Odyssey to the Ends of Earth with Jesus Christ,” for children ages 3 through sixth grade. Call (937) 568-4102 before June 9 to register.

6 to 8 p.m.: Mt. Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church, 1870 Clay St., will hold VBS with the theme “Jesus Truth Seekers: Mission Possible” for ages two through adult. The event will commence with a picnic on June 18. There is no cost. Call (937) 322-4557.

6:30 to 8:30 p.m.: Vineyard Church of Northridge, 4650 Ridgewood Road, E., will hold VBS with the theme “Pandamania” for children pre-kindergarten through fifth grade.

6:15 to 8:15 p.m.: Trinity Lutheran Church, corner of Belmont and Sunset avenues, will host “A Faith of Journey” VBS, with a meal every evening at 5:30 p.m. Learn about Moses, Jesus’ sermons, and Heaven. The event is for children pre-kindergarten through adult.

June 20-24

6 to 8:30 p.m.: Fifth Lutheran Church, 1331 E. High St., will hold VBS with the theme “The Mighty Acts of God.” Classes will be for pre-kindergarten through sixth grade. A meal will be offered at 5:30 p.m. Sunday and Thursday.

July 10-14

6 to 8 p.m.: Lawrenceville Church of God, 4444 St. Paris Pike, Springfield will hold “Inside Out & Upside Down on Main Street” VBS. The event is for children preschool through high school. Students will explore and experience stories Jesus told about everyday people in everyday situations. Kids will be challenged to take a new look at what the Bible says about gratitude, compassion, forgiveness, grace, and faithfulness, and let Jesus make an amazing difference in their everyday lives.

July 11-15

6 to 8 p.m.: Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 1171 S. Yellow Springs St., will hold VBS.

July 18-22

6 to 8:30 p.m.: Middle Urbana Missionary Baptist Church will hold VBS with the theme “Spirit of the Seas.” The event is for children ages preschool to teen. Call (937) 460-7071 or visit www.mumbchurch.org.

6 to 8:30 p.m.: VBS will be held at The Church of God, 709 E. Grand Ave, for ages 5-18. Attendees will enjoy age appropriate activities, singing, crafts, and a nightly snack. Parents will be invited to join the attendees on Friday to showcase what they have done for the week. Transportation will be provided for the week.

6:30 to 8 p.m.: Second Missionary Baptist Church at 615 S. Wittenberg Ave., will hold VBS with the theme “Pandomania—Where God is Wild About You.” The event is for ages four years to adult. The week will end with a Friday celebration that will include the parents.

Crosspointe Community Church, 3551 S. Limestone St., will hold VBS with the them Hometown Nazareth. Travel back in time to experience the town that Jesus grew up in.
