The location would be the fourth Taco Bell in Springfield, according to company officials. It would be the first built with the company’s new Live Mas design. Company officials did not disclose why they selected that location. All four of the locations are company-owned, as opposed to franchises.
Construction has not yet begun on the new location, company officials said.
The Rudy’s location on North Bechtle Avenue closed earlier this year, although the company’s location at 2222 S. Limestone St. remains open.
