Sunny, cooler through the weekend

After a rainy end to the week, this weekend’s forecast calls for sunny skies, with somewhat cooler temperatures, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington.

Today, we will see a high near 73 degrees under mostly sunny skies, with some breezy winds. Temperatures will fall to a chilly 49 degrees overnight.

Tomorrow will also be mostly sunny, but temperatures won’t rise quite as high, only reaching near 69 degrees with a calm wind. Low temperatures will fall to around 47 degrees during the night.

We will start the week on Monday with sunny skies and a high near 73 degrees. Monday night, however, we will start to see some clouds returning with a low of around 56 degrees.
