Overnight showers to change to flurries by morning

Overnight: Overnight, any showers around will switch to light flurries or snow showers by morning, Storm Center 7 Chief Meteorologist McCall Vrydaghs said. Lows are expected around the middle 30s.

Saturday: A few flurries or light snow showers are likely during the morning. More widespread scattered snow showers arrive for the afternoon and evening, especially north of Interstate 70. Temperatures will range in the middle to upper 30s throughout the day. A light accumulation is possible, especially in the evening as temperatures drop. Areas south of I-70 will see a coating to an inch, mainly on grassy and elevated surfaces. North of I-70 may see up to 1.5 inches. Slick spots will be possible Saturday night as temperatures fall to the lower 30s.

Sunday: After a chilly morning with a few slick spots possible, it will stay cloudy through the day with a few stray flurries at times. Temperatures will be near normal in the upper 30s. It also will be a little breezy at times, with wind chills in the upper 20s to lower 30s.

Monday: Temperatures will be seasonable in the upper 30s on this quiet but mostly cloudy start to the workweek.

Tuesday: Mostly cloudy skies are expected with highs approaching 40 degrees.

Wednesday: It will be cloudy with a few snow showers arriving for the afternoon. Seasonable temperatures are expected, with highs in the upper 30s.
