Pretzel Fest still operates a location at the Kenwood Towne Centre in suburban Cincinnati. A manager at that store declined comment this morning on the Fairfield Commons closure.
Leanne Rubosky, general manager of the Mall at Fairfield Commons, said, “Tenants come and go, and that has always been the case at The Mall at Fairfield Commons. When a tenant leaves, it provides an opportunity for us to add something new. We plan to announce an exciting new tenant for this space in the near future.”

Also today, Washington Prime Group, the owner of the Mall at Fairfield Commons and the Dayton Mall, formally announced Basil’s on Market will open in space recently vacated by Flyboys Deli just outside the Fairifield Commons mall’s main entrance.

“We have such a diverse selection of dining and entertainment spots for guests to enjoy at The Mall at Fairfield Commons,” Rubosky said in a Washington Prime Group release. “We are excited to add another new eatery for our guests where they can gather and spend time with family and friends.”
