The grant designed to be used to aid the city in planning, paratransit services and maintenance, as well as wages and other operating expenses in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, according to a news release from the FTA.
It is part of a larger program by the FTA that is allocating a total of $25 billion in grant funding. The goal is to ensure that the nation’s public transportation systems can continue to provide services amid the ongoing pandemic, according to the news release.
