Amanda D. Campbell, 35, was killed in the crash that took place near the intersection of Mitchell Boulevard and North Belmont Avenue, Springfield police traffic Sgt. Michael Curtis said.

“Alcohol and speed are factors in that crash, and no occupants of the vehicle were wearing seat belts,” he said in a statement.

Officers were dispatched to the scene at around 5 a.m. where they found a damaged silver sedan. Campbell was pronounced dead at the scene.

Also, the driver and a back-seat passenger were both injured in the crash, police said, and they were taken to Miami Valley Hospital.

Curtis said the investigation is continuing and criminal charges are possible.
