Springfield commissioners will be holding a virtual meeting Tuesday at 10 a.m. instead of their regularly scheduled evening session.

Regular City Commission meetings have been temporarily suspended due to a mayoral proclamation and executive order issued last month in regards to the ongoing COVID-19, also known as the coronavirus, pandemic.

Due to the pandemic, in-person public participation at city meetings has been temporarily prohibited. Instead, the meeting held Tuesday morning will be available via video conference and will be streamed live on the city’s Facebook page.

Residents can also listen to the meeting by calling 1-929-205-6099 and entering the pin 687710730#. The meeting will be made available for rebroadcast on local Channel 5, according to a news release from the city.

The agenda for the meeting can be found on the city's website at springfieldohio.gov.

Questions can be submitted ahead of time to be read during the meeting and can be sent to City Clerk Jill Pierce at commission@springfieldohio.gov or by calling 937- 324-7341 no later than 9 a.m., Tuesday.

Submissions must include the questioner’s name and address. Questions lacking a name and address will not be read during the meeting, according to the news release.
