Showers, storms today; Severe Thunderstorm warning for some counties

There is a Severe Thunderstorm Warning in effect for Darke, Miami, Montgomery and Preble Counties until 1:45 p.m.

It looks like it will be another rainy day, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington. After a high chance of rain the early morning, there is a chance of rain all day, rising through the afternoon into another very high chance of rain and storms overnight. Highs today will be warm, near 76 degrees, dropping to around 56 degrees tonight.

Tonight’s storms will likely continue into Sunday, before dawn, then are predicted to swiftly trail off. Sunday night will be breezy but not rainy. Temperatures during the day won’t rise as much, with a high around 63 degrees, and will drop down to around 43 degrees overnight.

The weather will be much clearer and cooler to start the work week, with Monday’s bringing mostly sunny skies and a high near 55 degrees. Monday night will be partly cloudy, with temperatures dropping to around 38 degrees.
