Showers appear in Sunday forecast

Sunday morning will begin dry but as the afternoon approaches, showers will also roll into the area southwest of Dayton as early as 3 p.m., said Chief Meteorologist Jamie Simpson.

“The area’s first chance for showers will be Sunday evening southwest of Dayton. I expect only Warren, Butler and southern Preble to have that chance,” said Simpson.

The chance of rain will increase into and through the evening. We might even see a few showers move as far north as Dayton in the evening.

The rain is expected to stay south of the I-75 and I-70 exchange.

These southern showers will continue overnight Sunday and into Monday morning.

“We could see a shower north of I-70 Monday afternoon, but the chance is low,” said Simpson.
