Those who attend are asked to meet at the preserve entrance, seven miles west of Urbana.
Davey Woods is a 103-acre preserve located on the slopes of a valley formed by Nettle Creek. McGinnis will discuss the history of the woods, forest ecology, and preserve management. The walk will take place rain or shine.
The walk is the last in a series of events designed to encourage people to observe nature and take an interest in the climate of Champaign County.
