Pavlatos named semifinalist

Nick Pavlatos, an eighth grade student at Ridgewood School, has been named a semifinalist in the 2012 Ohio National Geographic Bee.

Pavlatos will compete on March 30 at the Mansfield campus of The Ohio State University. The state level winner will compete in the national finals from May 22-24 at the National Geographic Society headquarters in Washington D.C.

The final round, moderated by Alex Trebeck, will be aired on the National Geographic Channel on May 24.
