A moving OVI sobriety checkpoint will be held in Trotwood starting at 8 p.m. in the 4800 block and 5300 block of Salem Avenue.

Trotwood police, along with the Montgomery County Combined Agency Task Force and Dayton police, will conduct the checkpoint, police said in a media release.

The checkpoint will be paired with saturation patrols in the area. Additional saturation patrols will be conducted throughout Montgomery County in July and August, Montgomery County OVI Task Force Coordinator Carlene Maynes said in the release.
In Butler County, an OVI checkpoint will be held between 9 p.m. Friday and 1 a.m. Saturday on Ohio 747 north at Peters Place just south of Muhlhauser Road, according to the Butler County O.V.I. Task Force.
Officers, deputies and troopers will aggressively combat alcohol related crashes by combining the checkpoint with saturation patrols, according to a task force news release.
