“Our goal is to make it affordable for everybody,” McCall said. “If you can come in and spend $100, that’s great. But if you come in and you don’t have a lot of money but you want to go to prom or homecoming, we will work it out.”
In the past, McCall also said she has even visited a customer at home, bringing them a selection of dresses in the right size, as well as assisting with hair and makeup. Because McCall works full-time, the new business will be open by appointment after 4:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, but will be open from noon-6 p.m. Saturdays. It will also be open by appointment on Sundays.
She got the idea for the business after a cousin called her last year asking for help finding a dress. Friends also heard about it, and began asking for help. So she found an affordable space and opened the business. Customers can either rent or buy the dresses available, McCall said.
So far, she said she has had customers from North Lewisburg, South Vienna and DeGraff.
“A lot of people from different areas are coming,” McCall said.
McCall said she is also working with a seamstress, a makeup artist, a photographer and others to make sure the business can provide a variety of services.
McCall said her long-term plan is to continue working for the county. But she eventually would like the business to grow enough to hire employees so the store could be open during more typical business hours.
Residents who want to make an appointment can call 937-896-9612. The business also has a Facebook page at
