National Drug Take Back Day postponed, Clark Co. Sheriff’s Office says

The Clark County Sheriff’s Office has announced that the National Drug Take Back Day, April 25, is postponed due to the coronavirus, or COVID-19.

The Drug Enforcement Agency has advised that this event will be rescheduled at a later date yet to be determined.

“However, once the stay-at-home order is lifted please remember that the Sheriff’s Office has 3 Drug Drop Boxes that can be used until the Fall Drug Take Back Day,” the sheriff’s office said.

The drop boxes, which will be available once the order is lifted, are located at 120 N. Fountain Ave. in the lobby of the sheriff’s office, 3130 E. Main St. in the lobby of the sheriff’s office east district, and at the New Carlisle Fire House.

The North Fountain Avenue location is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and the other two locations are open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
