Motorcyclist dies in Springfield crash

A motorcyclist was killed Friday evening in a crash.

The crash was reported shortly before 7:30 p.m. in the 1000 block of West First Street in Springfield, according to a lieutenant with the Springfield Police Division.

The crash knocked the motorcyclist into the front yard of a home, according to police radio traffic.

The crash only involved the motorcycle, the lieutenant said.

The victim’s name was not being released Friday night.
